Hi, I'm Jonas, a User Experience Designer and Team Lead from Germany.
Hello and welcome to my site. Please, feel free to take a look around!
I have always felt the urge to work in a field where I could develop products which would actually benefit people and make them happy. This is why after finishing my Master's degree in Computational Linguistics, I have pursued and developed my career in UX and user-centered design. I have since worked for Spiegel Institut in Mannheim in the field of user and market research, and I helped shape the current and coming iteration of the Audi MMI voice control in Ingolstadt. Now I am proud to be a part of the Intelligent RPA unit at SAP, where I organize the UX team and create the designs for the new Cloud-based generation of software automation. With now nine years of experience in user research and UX conceptual work, as well as two years of team coordination, I am excited by whatever challenges the interaction and input modalities of tomorrow have in store.
I also love video games - and in a time where the landscape of games is more diverse than ever, I'm even more fascinated by the question of what core elements make a game great. To provide a great experience, the narrative, the game rules and UI should work seamlessly together. And especially in the realm of UI/UX, the gaming industry has some catching up to do. Strong background and experience to conduct proper user research and flesh out the best possible UI greatly benefit the game, the players and ultimately also the developers. After all, whether it is business software, a car infotainment system or a video game - the user is what matters most.
I am usually very passionate about the things I do, and in my free time, I tend to have a lot of hobbies and I love to learn. I play the piano and I've been acting in German and English amateur theatre productions over the past 8 years. On the adventurous side, I love rock-climbing and backpacking. I'm also a huge lover of Asian culture and cuisine: in the past, I have lived in Shanghai for one year, and currently I'm working to improve my Japanese - language as well as cooking skills.
